Finished Pan Celtic Race on Monday, the last in the series, (or maybe series 1) The Pan Celtic team absolutely outdid themselves with this one, particularly as the sunshine and 23 degrees that they ordered for us turned up beautifully on time. Scenery was spectacular, the other riders were amazing, finding food was bit iffy, very iffy, discovered some real odd combos, but improved when I started riding with a loaf strapped to my tailfin bag, and a pot of dip fastened to the top tube bag.
Final revelation- put a large flat white straight into your water bottle to drip feed coffee on the last 60 miles!
With a 100 mile TT around the Isle of Man, then immediately to the Lake District then Scotland, total 1487 miles over 10 days this was never going to be easy!
